Arrange a Valuation
We’re glad to report that, following the Government’s announcement of 12th May, estate agents have been given the green light to start up again. Despite our offices being temporarily closed during the lockdown period, we’re proud that we’ve been able to maintain a full service to our landlords and tenants. We’ve also been able to continue to provide a full service to vendors and buyers whose sales were agreed before or at the time of the lockdown.
Our priority remains the safety of our staff, viewers and occupiers of properties. As such, we have put in place Covid-19 protocols for our offices, for in-person viewings and for valuations.
We can now offer the following options:
We are now permitted to visit your property provided we observe Government and Public Health England (PHE) advice on social distancing and hygiene.
So that you know, we have put in place the following Covid-19 measures:
- The valuer will be wearing gloves and, if required, a facial mask.
- The valuer won’t touch anything in the property and will maintain an appropriate distance from you.
- We may require you to either stay outside the property or in one room while the valuer walks around.
- Once the valuer has finished, they can either discuss things with you there and then (at a safe distance) or afterwards over the phone or on email.
Live video calls
These can be carried out using zoom or other video conferencing platforms. Firstly, contact us by phone or email and provide us with some details about your property. We can then book a time for a video appointment and you can walk the valuer through your property.
You can send us a video of your property (with or without commentary) and we can provide you with an estimate of the value of your home based on this. If we or you have any further questions, we can discuss these over the phone or on email.
If you prefer to just have a chat over the phone or on email, we can still give you an estimate of the value of your home. We can then arrange either a virtual or physical valuation at a later stage if required.
Please note that if you are clinically vulnerable, self-isolating, shielding or have Covid-19 symptoms, until Government advice changes, we won’t be able to carry out an in-person valuation.
If you’d like us to market your property, we’d need to discuss with you about organising photography or a virtual tour and the EPC, and ensuring that this is done in accordance with Government and PHE guidance. We’ll also discuss with you the options for viewings and the protocols we have put in place.
